Videos!

I was SO lucky to get to watch my little man wiggle around for almost an hour!  Thanks to my bestie's momma, an OB nurse.  We got a bunch of videos.  They're a little hard to see, but I thought I'd share.  Hopefully you can make things out.  I could sit and watch him move around forever!  It was so neat to be able to feel him kick and see it happen at the same time.  So in love with him already...

Opening and closing his mouth

Flipping over in my belly!

Rubbing his face

Moving his arms above his head

His face and his heart beating.

21 Weeks

Alright, so we stink at keeping up with this whole picture taking thing.  You'd think that taking one picture of my belly a week wouldn't be that hard to keep up with, but somehow we're having trouble.  Don't worry, I'll make up for it in millions of pictures of the little guy once he's here. :)
I think my belly is quickly popping out though, or at least it feels like it.  My muscles feel like I've been doing sit-ups and side crunches 24/7.  These "round ligament pains" as the nurse so politely described them don't play around.  They can really hurt!
As much as these aches and pains are a pain in the butt, I could not be happier for the reason that I even have them in the first place.  I have our son growing inside me.  I'm pretty sure that's the best thing ever...

How far along? 21 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: gained at least 8
Maternity clothes? my jeans are officially retired :(  I've been rocking the sweatpants.  Thank goodness I can wear them to work.  One of the parents in my classroom just gave me 3 bags full of maternity clothes, so I'm sure I'll be wearing those once this belly finally comes in!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: No bueno, yet I somehow feel rested enough each day.  Between going to the bathroom, Stephen's snoring and these round ligament pains, I don't sleep for long before something wakes me up.
Best moment this week: All the movement.  He is such a wiggle worm!  I feel him tossing, turning, kicking and throwing punches all the time!
Miss Anything? just sleeping in later than 7:30.  I wake up bright and early no matter what time I go to bed.
Movement: LOTS...I sense years of chasing this little guy down...
Food cravings: Sweets maybe?  mostly baked goods...I could eat donuts, brownies and cake/ice cream all day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Salad
Have you started to show yet: A bit.  I think I'm finally starting to pop!
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Registering.  I told myself once I was done with conferences at work,
we could go register.  I'm using that as my motivation to get portfolios finished.  It seems to
be working quite well.  (Although I have convinced Stephen just to go "look" at baby stores)

It's a....

BOY!!
According to the poll, most of you guessed right!  We are having ourselves a boy!  The wait in the doctors office seemed to take forever!  I was dying to know what we were having.  I've felt like we were going to have a boy for most of my pregnancy, but I couldn't wait to know for sure.  Once we got in, it took the technician forever to finally determine it was a boy.  I was worried she was going to tell us it was inconclusive.  Thank goodness she didn't!  The umbilical cord and his hands were both in the way of what we needed to see.  I think we could have determined it was a boy just by seeing both hands down there :)
I was so happy just to officially know what we are having!  I can't wait to start looking at room decor and all the fun baby clothes (Baby shoes will get me every time...love them!)
After leaving the doctors office, I called my family to share the good news.  Everyone was so excited!  Stephen made his parents wait to find out until after his dad's basketball game.  We went out a bought a onesie that said, "Mommy's new man", wrapped it and gave it to them after the game.  They were so excited! I think most of the Bubalo's expected it to be a boy....I mean I think there's like a 99.9% chance your baby is going to be a boy if you're a Bubalo.

I'm in love with all the pictures the technician got.
His little face looking right at us :)  His body looks a little deformed...it's just the angle though.

The bottom of his cute little foot.  Love that you can see his little toes.

This one is kind of an odd angle.  It's his two hands together, like he's praying.  The longer line on top is the bottom of his left arm.  His right hand looks like a little ball at the end of it.
His leg!  Love this picture!  You can even see his little bones!
So in love...

I still plan to get a belly picture up here at some point.  I feel like I haven't grown much.  I think my little man is just pushing all my insides up toward my lungs instead of just growing outward.  I feel like I'm out of breath so much easier already.  Haven't had to buy much maternity clothes yet.  Still fitting in my regular jeans with a hair tie.  Stylish, I know...

I have been feeling some movement in there.  Actually just this morning, I was lying on my back and started to feel him kick around.  I looked down and actually saw my belly move twice!  Ahh!  So weird, yet so cool!  I grabbed Stephen's hand (even though he was sound asleep next to me) and put it on my belly in hopes that he could feel something.  Half asleep, he said, "I think I might have felt something." Then he dozed back off.  He has yet to feel the baby give a good kick, despite all the wiggles and kicks I've felt.  Hopefully soon...I know he's looking forward to it.

How far along? 20 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 8 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Not too many.  I like wearing the few maternity shirts that I have only because they're longer and cover up my unzipped and hair tied up pants, not because I actually can fill the shirt out.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I start falling asleep around 8:30 unless I'm keeping myself busy.  I almost always wake up with a sore back though...grr...and it's always before 8:00.  I think sleeping in is over...for the rest of my life... :(
Best moment this week: finding out that we're have a BOY!!! And getting all of the pictures.
Miss Anything? sleeping in
Movement: He's quite the wiggle worm when we see him move on the ultrasounds.  I've started to feel more and more movement.  The little flutters are quickly turning into kicks against my belly (or my bladder...)
Food cravings: Nothing in particular.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Salad still gets me.  The darker the lettuce, the worse it looks.  Blah!
Have you started to show yet: Just barely.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.  Although I do think I can get moodier a little quicker than I used to.  This may be a question to ask Stephen.  Just don't ask in front of me...
Looking forward to:  Starting to decorate his room, registering, and picking out a name for our little man!
